If the answer is yes, then the Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) is for you.

ACT -Avery Cameron Training | Site Management Safety Training Scheme

SMSTS is a five-day course that covers all relevant legislation affecting safe working in the construction, building, and civil engineering industries. It is a CITB industry standard course, and grants are available.

The safety training course highlights the need for risk assessments in the workplace, good communication to sustain a health and safety culture in the workplace and the undertaking of required control measures.

What qualification will you gain from the Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS)?

At the end of the course you’ll be able to:

  • Execute industry best practices and new guidance.

  • Enforce all health, safety, welfare and environmental legislation affecting daily work.

  • State your duties and responsibilities concerning health, safety, welfare and the environment.

How is the SMSTS course taught?

  • The safety training course is highly interactive and taught through classroom discussion, group work, case studies and group presentations. There will be a need to do self-study outside of the course.

  • It is taught over 5 days, 37.5 hours, and includes continuous assessment and a multiple choice test.
